S2 pupils were taken to the Edinburgh Book Festival in August this year,  we saw two events:  Katherine Howe, Lisa Heathfield and Anne Cassidy.  Pupils got the chance to listen to the authors, hear extracts from books and were given time to ask questions at the end. Pupils purchased books and had them signed by the authors at a meet-and-greet after each event. Pupils visited the book shop and had their lunch in the enclosed space on Charlotte Square before we headed back home.
