Dyslexia Awareness Week will run in school from Monday 2nd to Friday 8th November. S1 and S2 pupils received information about dyslexia during this week’s assemblies and took part in an interesting activity to help them to understand a bit more about the difficulties people with dyslexia might face.
Throughout the course of this week, staff will be trying out dyslexia friendly strategies in class and most pupils will be shown an informative BBC documentary by Kara Tointon during their PSE class to gain more of an insight into the condition. The S1 and S2 book clubs will also be contributing to the week’s activities by designing posters to raise awareness and by finding out about famous authors with dyslexia.
