Combat Systems Technical Apprentice vacancies

There are eight new Combat Systems Technical Apprentice vacancies which will see successful candidates cutting their teeth on the ‘brains’ of the Royal Navy’s next generation warships – Combat Systems. The new apprenticeship will teach the design, development and integration of state-of-the-art naval combat systems, which crew members in modern warships depend upon to operate effectively. Combat systems includes IT infrastructure and complex electronic equipment, such as radars and sensors.

The eight new apprentice roles means BAE Systems is now recruiting a record 173 early careers positions in Glasgow alone this year, including 121 apprentices and 34 graduates, as well as 13 paid industrial placements and five paid summer internships. In total, there will be more than 250 apprentices and graduates undergoing training with BAE Systems in Glasgow in 2015, making it one of Scotland’s largest early careers programmes.

Our apprenticeships are the lifeblood of our early careers programme so if you think you have students who may be interested in applying or finding out more please visit: www.baesystems/ukcareers

You can also hear direct from existing apprentices (including those undertaking the existing Combat Systems apprenticeship in Surrey) on what it involves and what they get from the programme by clicking here to access our BAE Systems Inspiring Future Apprentices and Graduates videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWwdxcTXvto&list=UUs9HTncy2FLGgj00WY2k2JQ

Please be aware that the recruitment window for the Autumn start date closes on the 28 February 2015.
