Resilience Framework Whole School Training
The Exchange are offering whole school CLPL to all schools in East Ayrshire which is based around their resilience framework – “A Resource-Based Approach to understanding the psychological wellbeing and emotional development of children and young people”. The main aim of this Professional Learning is to give staff an overview of the resilience framework used by the Exchange to assess and support wellbeing.
Course Aims/Content:
- Learn the Resource-based Framework used by the Exchange
- Promote positive mental health through the 15 elements of resilience
- Map on existing provisions and how each activity targets specific resilience elements to create a whole-school strategic approach to supporting psychological wellbeing
- To provide a shared language and understanding of some of the strategies used by the counsellors
The training is a 2 hour session (exact timings can be agreed with each school) and would ideally involve as many staff as possible At the moment training will be delivered via TEAMs but we’re hoping this may change in the New Year.

P7 Transition Workshop Training
The Exchange are going to be offering CLPL to Primary 7 teachers in East Ayrshire which is based around their transition programme – The Adventure Programme (P7 Transition)
Course Aims
- To introduce staff to targeted resilience resources and explore how these activities can be used as protective factors for children through transition.
- To train P7 teachers to deliver the Transition “adventure programme” to their own class
Training Details
This training is for teachers who are currently teaching P7. This will be offered to all P7 teachers in East Ayrshire, free of charge! It can be delivered as a 1 day training course or shorter twilight sessions. If anyone would prefer to attend a full day course rather than the 3 twilight sessions, please just let Kerry know and if there is enough interest, we can arrange this.
