Eating disorders
Current evidence indicates that the Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the prevalence and severity of eating disorders. The number of children under 18 admitted to a mental health or general/acute speciality, either as an inpatient or day case, with an eating disorder in Scotland increased by 47% between 2019 (125) and 2020 (184) and then again by 27% between 2020 (184) and 2021 (233). Beat e-learning provides you with the opportunity to learn more about eating disorders. You will find workspaces where you, as school professionals can discuss advice, support, resources and share experiences and forums where you can post questions to fellow forum users, as well as to the Clinical Advice Trainers.
