Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) / Domestic Abuse

Domestic Abuse

Based on international evidence, we expect to see an increase in disclosures of domestic abuse as we exit from lockdown. Children and young people impacted by domestic abuse are recognised by Scottish Government as being venerable.

  • At least one child in every class will have experience of domestic abuse.
  • One in 5 children in the UK will have experienced domestic abuse by the time they reach 18.
