P5 Tuesday 23rd February 2021
Good Morning Everyone and welcome to Tuesday,
It was great to see so many of you accessing Teams yesterday. Remember to take a look in Teams in the Files section and look for Class Materials.
In Class Materials you will find a presentation all about how to use the Assignments area of Teams.
Today, there are some more revision questions in Numeracy – this time, it’s a revision of your Division skills.  Remember to draw out the sharing boxes or arrays, if they help you to answer the questions.
There are 2 links which you will need access to, to complete today’s activities:
The first is P.E.
The second link will help you with your Interdisciplinary activity which is all about the Circulatory System:
I hope that you will enjoy learning about the Circulatory System, it is really interesting. This part of our, ‘Your Body’ Topic, isn’t quite so stomach churning as learning about the Digestive System was.
As always, don’t forget to register this morning using the link on the School Daily Blog page.
Also, please remember to reply to the Live Lesson requests for both tomorrow and Thursday, so that you can add them into your Calendar on Teams.
Have a great Tuesday everyone,
Take care and stay safe,
from,
Miss Steedman

P6W: Monday 22nd February 2021
Good morning,
Hope you had a lovely weekend – it was almost Spring-like today. It was nice to go out for a walk without having to wrap up in hats, scarves and gloves for a change.
We will be starting our new topic today – Planets and Space. There is a pre -topic quiz on Teams which I’d like you to try and a few other activities on the daily programme to have a go at. For today’s numeracy we will be revising work on decimals. There is a revision task for all groups in today’s class materials folder.
This week’s Teams Live Sessions are hopefully going to be on
Tues 23rd @ 10.00am
Thurs 25th @ 2.00pm
Fri 26th @ 10.00am
Please email me your work if possible or if you have any questions.
Have a magic Monday
Mrs W

Phased return – ECC / P1-P3/Keyworker & Vulnerable children
From Monday 22nd February, we are looking forward to welcoming some of our pupils back to school. Our staff are busy preparing for their pupils return and are looking forward to seeing them. In order to keep everyone safe, we need YOUR help!
P1- P3 and Keyworker/Vulnerable children  will attend from 9-3pm.The ECC have staggered times, depending on keyworker group ( please see ECC blog for details)
We need Parents/Carers to wear a mask and stay 2 m apart in order to avoid transmission of the virus .
At the start of the day,
Please drop off between 8.50am and 9am, your child will be supervised by staff in the playground. Please do not congregate in the playground or on the pavement.
Pupils will line up in the usual places.
Keyworker/Vulnerable children will line up in the P7 playground near to the polytunnel.
Interval and Lunch/Playground arrangements, will be as normal.
At the end of the day,
- P1R will exit via the dinner hall door near the picnic tables. P1 pupils can be collected from 2.55pm.
- P1L will exit via other dinner hall door. P1 Pupils can be collected from 2.55pm.
- P2B/P2MÂ will exit from the usual exits.Â
- P3 will exit via the main door
Please remind your child, prior to returning to school of the importance of maintaining 2m distance from their teacher, where possible and regular handwashing. Pupils need to remain in their class bubble.
The focus of learning for the first four weeks will be Literacy, Numeracy and Health and Wellbeing.
P4-P7 Remote Learning
Our P4- P7 pupils will continue to engage with Remote Learning via Teams on GLOW. All pupils should access their online learning and be encouraged to complete tasks as set by their class teacher.
Please check that your child is completing their tasks and sharing their work with their teacher on teams or via email. There are regular opportunities for them also to meet their teacher through Teams on GLOW. We currently have approx. 75% pupil engaging with online learning set by their teacher.
Please remember to complete our help form if you have any issues, the link is as follows:
Please remember,
- GLOW works best when opened up through Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
- P3- P7 – Please encourage your child to go onto Nessy every day,  through Google Chrome. The Secret word is :  TREACLYCRATE They then type in their name to access it. Â

We appreciate your support in keeping our pupils, staff and members of the community safe during these challenging times.
Here is a little reminder from some of our pupils about how you can help us all keep safe!
If you have any questions, please contact the main office.
