How are you all today? I hope that you enjoyed some of the World Book Day activities yesterday and remember there is a live show at 10:30am today for those of you who wish to join in.
Here is a link to Joe Wicks’ PE lesson from Wednesday 3rd with a World Book Day theme, if you’d like to try this today:
Today’s activities include more about factors and a lesson about your Lungs, which is the next part of the Circulatory System which we are going to learn about.
There are two links which you will need to complete today’s Interdisciplinary activity, which are:
We’ll have a Teams meeting at 11am to go over a new way to do addition. Bring a piece of paper and pencil!
As an extra, since it’s World Book Day you’ll see I have assigned you extra tasks in each section. Something you might like to do is get creative and make a book character from something in your house! Here is an example of someone who painted a smooth rock and used a potato to create their characters:
Have fun, enjoy the sunshine and I’ll hopefully see you 11am! Have a great day!
If you were to choose one book to read every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? Such a difficult choice, however my favourite book when I was at primary school was ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ by CS Lewis. I could happily read that book over and over again and not get bored with it! I look forward to hearing what you would pick at our live session today @ 2.00pm.
I hope you enjoy doing some of the World Book Day activities. The daily programme can be found in Class Notebook and there is a maths resource in class materials.
Welcome to a new day of online learning and happy World Book Day! Today we are going to do some World Book Day activities as well as our live lesson. Our live lesson today is at 1:30pm, I hope to see you there!
Please remember to register this morning and don’t hesitate to email me or send a message on our Teams chat is you need me.
I have uploaded all the materials you will need for today on our MS Teams page. You will find the activities on the Class Notebook > Welcome > Thursday 4th March 2021. You may also have to click on the three books icon at the left hand side to see these options.
All the resources that you will need for today can be found under the Files tab > Class Materials > Thursday 4th March 2021.
Sadly, there will be no dressing up for World Book Day this year, but there are plenty of different activities for you to take part in and to enjoy. Mrs Miller has put some really exciting activities onto the School App including making a book character out of a potato, which looks like a lot of fun.
There are lots of activities for us to look at today too.
First of all a wee reminder of our Live Numeracy Lesson at 9.45am this morning. I look forward to seeing you there to learn more about the Factors which we first looked at yesterday.
In P.E. today, there is a really fun activity to build your own Climbing Wall (on the floor) but I can assure you that it will make you laugh a lot too. The link is here:
For World Book Day, there are so many different links for you to look at. It’s all about making your own choices today. Take a look at each of the web sites and think about what you would like to do. Most of all, enjoy! This first link might be really interesting for the Grown-Ups to start with.
Then, here is the ThinkLink page which I have discussed in today’s Activity Page. There are so many exciting activities here, including a making your own potions activity:
For those of you who prefer to read Non-Fiction stories, this one is just for you. It takes place tomorrow morning, but I thought I would tell you all about it so that you can make plans to watch it.
Finally, here is the link to the official World Book Day 2021 page itself. It is packed with all sorts of fun activities including the Scavenger Hunt which I have set as a challenge for you all today.
Have you been spotting all the signs of spring on the way? Next time you’re out for a walk see if you can spot any new flowers starting to bloom or wildlife starting to appear after the winter.
Please register for the day and then go to our team page for Wednesday’s learning activities.
I hope to see you all at 11am for today’s live session.
