Hi!

 

The big news in P6 this week is that we had Week 1 of Bikeability!! Kids had lots of fun and some really tricky skills to master.  We are very lucky we have such a large playground and it is tarmac!  We look forward to having loads of fun over the next few weeks.

 

Tuesday is the final run through and dress rehearsal for the Disney show – the P5 & P6 will perform to the whole school!  Tickets are available for during the day but not for the evening performance.

SCHOOL UNIFORM – ETHICALLY MADE

Our P7 pupils participated in a workshop during Sustainability Week and Andy from Koolschools presented at this.  The pupils found him very interesting and wanted to learn more so they invited him to the school.

Andy was delighted with this invitation and visited the school in March and presented at the assembly.  Part of this presentation was ethically made school uniform.

The Fairtrade Committee are pleased to announce that we have “joined forces” with Koolschools to provide school uniforms made with ethically made cotton which will enhance our Fairtrade Status and help the workers in India.

Wednesday 22nd May – Parents night ( letters sent home- check bags and return as requested)

Friday 24th May, 24 – P1 Induction visit -2-2.40pm (Parent/Carer talk in Dinner hall)

Monday 27th May –HOLIDAY

Tuesday 28th May – Inservice Day ( Pupils not in)

Wednesday 29th May – Health Week ( pupils can wear sportswear)

Friday 31st May –Sports day at 10. 30am
Week 8

Tuesday 4th June- P7 Transition day 1 at Loudoun Academy

Wednesday 5th June – P7 Transition day 2 at Loudoun Academy

Thursday 6th June- P7 Transition day 3 at Loudoun Academy  (incl. Parent/Carer  info. session at Loudoun Academy)

Friday 7th June  – P1 Induction visit 2- 2-2.40pm

Friday 7th June @ 7pm  – Hurlford’s Got Talent ( app will let you know when tickets available)
Week 9

Tuesday 11th June – Bump Up day 1.50-2.40pm ( not new P1s)

Tuesday 11th June –ECC Induction 3.20-3.55pm August starts only

Friday 14th June  – P1 Induction visit 3- 2-2.40pm
Week 10

Wednesday 19th June (returning at approx. 3.30pm) P1-P7 Trip to Almond Valley (no spending money required)
