RED NOSE DAY – FRIDAY 21ST MARCH

We are celebrating Red Nose Day on Friday 21st March.  It is the 40th birthday / anniversary this year – who can remember the first one in 1985??

The Pupil Council have suggested that pupils either wear red or come in party clothes.

Pupils will enjoy dancing and activities and it would be much appreciated if they could bring a donation to raise funds for this worthwhile cause.

Thank you.

World Book Day – Thurs 6th March

We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 6th March with a range of class and school activities to encourage reading for enjoyment.  The theme this year is Read Your Way.  One of the suggested books is:

We have decided this would be a great book to use as our “dressing up” theme so pupils can dress as a mood. Here are a few suggestions but please feel free to be creative and wear an outfit so we could try and guess the mood!  It could be a colour (red = angry or embarrassed; green with envy); it could be a costume that makes you feel a certain way or a character that feels a certain way in a book!  Can’t wait to see them!
