Just a wee reminder that the sponsored Boogie and Bounce is taking place on Weds 8th November (next week).
Please send any sponsor money to the school in the envelope provided or an envelope with pupil name and class marked clearly on it.
The Parent Council will collect this from the school. All money raised benefits all the pupils in the school.
Thank you for your support in this matter,

Well today is the last day of Term 1 and the class have continued to work exceptionally well this week. The class wanted you to know a few things about our learning this week. They are:
Skiing – a huge hit as always!!! It is definitely not easy BUT the skills they are learning and how much they have learned is incredible and are sure to help develop their other sports and be better at them!! Tubing is crazy and fun. The slope was very fast due to the amount of rain. We only have 3 more weeks left after the October week! By Josh
Maths – step division. Bus Stop sums… long division. It was easier as they did more work and had more practice! The needed to check that the number they were dividing was in that times table so there were no remainders. By Josh
Topic – So I wanted to tell you about the work being completed on Forces and Friction. I wanted to say about low and high friction and some examples of them. Rough surfaces can be high friction because it will slow you down and low friction is when it speeds you up. So that would mean a wet surface or a slippery surface you would have low friction. The opposite is a rough or a bumpy surface which would give you high friction. By Logan G
Writing – We did a story for our fab files. It had to be really detailed and quite long because it was the first story of P6 and was being kept in our files. It was our own choice to write about anything you wanted. We also did a reading task. We read the passage twice and then answered questions about the passage. The easy part was reading it and the hardest part was thinking it through questions. BY Amber.
Have a lovely holiday everyone.

Primary 4/3 pupils delivered some wonderful class talks today. The children spoke confidently and listened attentively to each other. It was a great afternoon of learning from our peers!
This morning, we took the chance to go outside and enjoy the crisp clear morning and work on angles. The children had 2 sticks and were challenged to show acute, obtuse and right angles using the sticks as the arms of the angle. They then teamed up and used their sticks to make lots of angles which they then marked with conkers. They worked really well and showed super understanding of this!
This afternoon, we began to look at the new Lego League Challenge we are going to take part in. It’s titled ‘Masterpiece’ and is all about showcasing hobbies in a creative way using Lego! I look forward to seeing how their ideas develop!
For those coming to the Welcome chat tomorrow, I look forward to seeing you there. If you can’t make it, have a super October break.
Well done p4/3 on a great start to the year in Term 1!
