Hi everyone,

P6 have had another super busy week.  They have been continuing to learn how to do division sums and how to do perimeter. Remember we are not going to understand everything on the first few tries so please keep working hard and asking questions.  You will get there!!!

Skiing was super duper again this week! It is really sad to know that it is the last week next week – 9th Nov ! 🙁  What is super is that all of our parents and carers are very welcome to come and watch skiing next Thursday so we can show you everything we have been learning!!! 🙂 We should be started about 10am and we finish around 12ish.  Please come and watch if you can!

We had a some outdoor learning at the end of Friday when we were completing a challenging measure conversion game and trying to find codes on hidden cards.  We should finish this next week so fingers crossed the weather is good!

We are continuing to work on our Play Award with Lynsey Murphy and next week we have to plan and organise our own session.  We have been learning about our participants, safe areas, communication and team work.  We have also had lots of fun playing the games she has set us!!!

Just to say I know a lot of our P6s have just had a great time learning to ski and the current evening lessons on a Tuesday night don’t suit SO Newmilns Ski slope can offer skiing lessons on Mondays and/ or Wednesdays 4-5pm or 5-6pm if you would like your child to continue to learn to ski.  Please give Kirsty a call and they can discuss the prices and any other info you need.

Hi my name is Emily and I am the digital leader in P6.

This week in class we have been doing factors and different things with times tables and division >:]

We also did work on perimeters for maths.

For our hand-writing we did only two lines of a poem called ‘The Phoenix’

We made a wanted poster of Guy Fawkes because it is near bonfire night.

Hi my name’s Summer. I’m the digital leader for p5/4. Here is a little bit about what we have been doing in class this week. 

We have been doing lots of maths in our jotters, adding 3 digit numbers. 

We are reading The Lorax by Dr Zeus. We drew the Lorax and some of the special trees and stuck them on a paper plate. 

We were doing a science experiment and made a lava lamp out of a cola bottle, water, oil, food colouring and an alka seltzer. It didn’t work the first time, but it worked the second time. 

We started gymnastics for PE. We did some different jumps on the trampet and the mats.
