* This week we did some phonic activities .Tyler G liked the stampers best and Lucas enjoyed playing boom. He beat Dylan by 2 points.

* We also learned a new mental maths strategy called counting on and we did some chilli challenges.

We have been revising the sounds g,l,f,o,b,u this week and exploring rhymes in stories. We wrote fabulous group stories about a big, brown, bear. We also have been using ten frames and are learning to count on.

P5S- 22/11/19- Sources of Energy

This week P5S have been researching renewable and non-renewable sources of energy. We are learning which type is the most friendly to our planet and also how we can stop wasting so much energy at home and in school.

P5S- Secret codes-15/11/19

This week, in preparation for our trip to see the film, Johnny English, we have been learning about the character and how “good” a spy he is. We created our own code wheel then wrote secret coded messages to each other. We had fun de-coding the messages.

Children in Need 2019

We had a great day doing activities for children in need! We wore PJs, decorated biscuits, had our nails painted and guessed the spots on Pudsey. Thank you for your kind donations to support this charity.

miss Muir glow 15.11.19

This week p2 enjoyed learning about symmetry and making symmetrical patterns. We have fun playing literacy activities to help us learn the common words and phonemes. We played roll a word and used the spinner for speed spelling.

Children in need P1R

P1R Outdoor Learning

This week we were using an animal key for outdoor learning . We were investigating snail trails and checking to see any evidence of animals that were in our playground.

P5S- Uploading photos in P5S- 8/11/19

This week in P5S, we took photographs around the school using ipads. Then we uploaded them to a GLOW e-mail which we then sent to our friends. we had so much fun that some of us tried it more than once. 🙂
