P5 Tuesday 12th January 2021

Good Morning Everyone and welcome to another day of online learning in P5.

Thank you to everyone who contacted me yesterday, it was wonderful to hear from you and to see some of the beautiful pictures which you had created of your snowy winter scenes.  They were tremendous.

Today, we will continue with some Rounding activities in Numeracy and a story in Literacy which should bring back lots of happy memories from your holiday.  We will also be working on a bit of mapping, which we started before the holidays.  As always, if you have any questions, please send me an e-mail and I will do my very best to help.

Click on the link below to open up today’s document….. you will need a copy of your Spelling Words from yesterday to help with the Spelling activity….

P5 Tuesday 12th January 2021

Have fun and do what you can,

Take care, stay safe and have a terrific Tuesday,

p2M Monday 11th January 2021

Hello primary 2

Happy New School Year i hope you all had a good Christmas break and Santa was good to you. Sadly I cant see you all to hear about your holidays  as we need to stay safe at home . So for now we are going to do some learning at home with grown ups to help you. Its not the same but be kind to each other and just do what you can when you can. You will be using  some of the learning you have already done in class to help you complete the tasks in the links below. I’m sure you will all try hard. We will also be using Education City so remember to have a look at this .  I hope you all remember which groups you are in, if not you can email me to ask me any questions or show me what you have been doing at home.

My email is eleanor.muir@eastayrshire.org.uk

P7 MSTeams

Good morning P7,

If any of you have tried accessing our Teams page this morning you may have found it is taking time to get logged-on or to access files.  This problem is being worked on so please be patient and hopefully all will be sorted out soon.

In the meantime, you could:

  • complete your daily time on Nessy,
  • access the educationcity.com classwork for today,
  • complete the colour sudoku found on the daily plan, have half an hour of exercise
  • spend 20-30 minutes reading.

Then hopefully you will find Teams is running more smoothly a little later on today.

P7 Monday 11th January

Good morning P7,

Welcome back, I hope you have all had a lovely time over Christmas and New Year and managed to stay safe and well.

I was very much looking forward to seeing you all now we’re in 2021, however, for the moment we will just have to keep in touch through email and Teams.

Please use our Teams group to find your tasks for each day.  I will also attach the daily tasks to this blog until we all get settled into locating everything on Teams.  All going well, you should find the daily diary and any other resources you need through the ‘General’ channel in our Team – as you can see in the image.  Please email me if you have any difficulties.

I am hoping to hold a short meeting with you this afternoon through the Teams group.  I have set the meeting for 2pm and hope that you will be able to take part so we can all catch up with each other.  If you are able to participate please ensure you read the ‘Online Rules’ document first.  You will find this on Teams in the general posts.

Well, let’s get started then, I’m looking forward to hearing from you all and seeing your work.

Have a great day,

Mrs J

P6W: week beginning 11th January 2021

Good morning Primary 6W,

Welcome back!  I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and enjoyed the holidays.  I’m sure you’ve had lots of fun playing outside in the recent snowy weather.  I’m looking forward to catching up with you all and finding out what you’ve been doing during the Christmas break.

I’m sure you are all raring to go with your home learning tasks and activities.  The link to today’s tasks is below my Glowmail address.  I hope you manage to give them a go and do the best you can.  You can send me your work as an email, or put it on a Word document and attach it to an email if you can remember how to do that.  You can also use a notebook or old jotter to record your work.  Please let me know if you have any questions and I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.  Remember to take a few short breaks and allow some time for fresh air and exercise.

Have a great day

Mrs Wilson
