Wednesday 27th January P1L and P1R

Good morning Primary 1, I’m so sorry that our Vscene check in did’t work today. I hope we have much better luck next time.

Today we are learning some new common words and reading about Baby Bear’ s Week. In the afternoon I would like you follow some children on the Gruffalo’s trail and then design a trap to catch him.

Here are today’s links.

Have fun,

Mrs Carey.

I hope you are all well and managed to work sway yesterday. It is definitely a lot easier for videos! Today is writing day so a quick phonics and common word task and then writing based on a Disney short called Piper for writing. In maths, we are finishing off looking at volume and capacity with a scavenger hunt and the topic grid is shared below for you to complete an activity today.

Remember to take breaks and get some fresh air.

Please click the picture below to take you to sway for today’s home learning tasks.

Good morning P6W,

I hope you are all bright-eyed and bushy tailed as we’re going to start the day with PE and do the Joe Wicks workout at 9am.

How are you managing with Teams? You’ll find today’s work programme in the Class Notebook > content library.  Resources are in today’s folder in Class Materials.  Thank you to those of you who have completed and handed in their first assignment on Teams.  It’s called Estimating and Rounding. There’s still plenty of time to give it a go – the deadline for handing it in is tomorrow (28th) at 3.00pm.  Let me know if you have any issues.

P2M Wednesday 27th January 2021

Hi boys and girls

Happy Wednesday

What a dull day it was yesterday now that the snow has all melted. The pavements are very slippy so you have to be careful when you are out walking . I don’t think one of the links to a video ,the ea video  worked yesterday, so  real sorry for that ,sometimes technology has a blip.  I hope you have a try at the activities on the afternoon grid , please let me know if you try any of them and what you did . Remember just do what you can , because every little bit helps . Have a good day

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I hope that you are all well and that you are finding everything quite straightforward in Teams. I am looking forward to our Live Class at 9.45am this morning, if you haven’t accepted the meeting request already, go into your GLOW e-mail and look for the request which I sent out on Monday.  Then, at 9.45 this morning, go into your Calendar in Teams and click the ‘Join Meeting’ button.  I am going to introduce our new Numeracy topic today, so hopefully you can all join in.

Keep an eye on the Chat Posts in our Team too to check if  there is  something really important which I need to share with you.

Today’s activities can be found in Teams > Class Notebook > Content Library  > P5 Resources

As always, if you have any problems, please e-mail me or send me a message in the Posts section of Teams.

P2B – Tuesday 26th January

Hello Primary 2B 🙂

I hope you are all well and have been managing with the work yesterday. Remember it is very important to take breaks and get fresh air.

I am trying something new today as we are starting to do more interactive lessons. I have used Sway for our home learning tasks. It is very easy to use. Just follow the link and everything you need is on the page. It is similar to word document except videos are embedded a lot easier. I have videos where I am talking to each of the spelling groups (I have a stuffy nose so apologies in advance for my voice). This is new for me too and I am still trying to get the hang of sway and explore all it has to offer. However, if you have any questions or are struggling please let me know (jaclyn.baillie@eastayrshire.org.uk) and I will try to answer to the best of my ability. You do not need to download anything it will just open like a link. Just click the image below.

Go to this Sway

Please click below for the topic grid. Try to complete one activity today if possible.

Toys from the past topic grid of activities

Happy swaying 🤞  and have a wonderful day!

Miss Baillie
