Help us gain extra S-miles!

If you walk/scoot/cycle anywhere after school or at the weekend instead of taking the car, log your journey and it will gain our school extra S-miles on our Journey to Jupiter! There is a challenge this month to get 5 extra journeys from families logged. I wonder if Hurlford will succeed??!?

Has your child got their free bus card?

HELP US BE MORE ECO FRIENDLY!

One of our Eco Action Points this year is to get more children signed up to use buses for free so we can go on more local trips in an environmentally friendly way.

Does your child have an NEC card? We would love to get all children in our school signed up so that we can easily use public transport for travelling locally.

Please visit the website and apply as soon as possible.

P6 17.11.23

Hello everyone,

P6 have had such an amazing week that included a school trip to the Edinburgh Playhouse to watch Disney’s Aladdin the stage show – WOW!

Jude’s favourite part of the week was Aladdin and his favourite part was the magic carpet scene.  He said it was like they were actually floating.

On Thursday the school football played Crosshouse at Ayrshire College.  The boys say the Astro is amazing – they like the facility!  They played well but sadly Crosshouse won 9-1!

Darren was very happy when he found out he was selected for the school football team.  He enjoyed playing against Crosshouse but the score didn’t really go that well.

Freyah enjoyed Aladdin because it was an amazing show and they had amazing props.  Her favourite scene was the Sword scene.  They had lights on the swords which made them look real.  This was when Aladdin and his friends were fighting with the Sultan’s guards.

Logan G’s week was enjoyable because of the Play Maker Award where they were doing activities prepared by other class members.  It was fun and interesting to see what the other children picked for their activities.

Priya really enjoyed Aladdin at the Playhouse and her favourite part was also the sword fight.  The lighting in the Playhouse was super and all the colours mixed up to make all the scenes.

Friday was crazy fun with all of us enjoying raising money for Children In Need.  We all looked funny in our pjs. I definitely think school slippers is a great idea!!!

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Take care,

Mrs Fx
