SKI BLOCK AT NEWMILNS SNOW AND SPORTS COMPLEX

A new Active Schools Block starts today from 4pm – 6pm at NEWMILNS SNOW AND SPORTS COMPLEX.  The price for each block (5 weeks) is £47.50, which is only £9.50 per pupil per week.  These sessions are heavily subsidised and are the cheapest way to learn how to ski.  In addition to learning a new skill, or improving one, they will improve their confidence, build resilience and learn how to encourage each other and work as a team.

Bus can be organised, if enough interest, and pupils collected from school at end of the day and returned to school for parental collection after session.  Please contact Miss Mair if this would be of interest – joanne.mair2@eastayrshire.org.uk

Have you received a ‘Migration’ Notice asking you to claim Universal Credit?

Once a migration notice is received

When asked to claim Universal Credit, you need to do so.

Starting from November 2023, East Ayrshire residents who currently claim Tax Credits only (Child Tax Credit/ Working Tax Credit) will start to receive a notification from Department for Work and Pensions ‘inviting’ them to claim Universal Credit.

This migration process will then move on to other working age claimants on older income based benefits, called legacy benefits.

You will have 3 months from the date the letter is issued, known as the deadline date, to make an application for Universal Credit.

If you need advice or support, please do not wait until the deadline has passed, or leave it until that date to ask for assistance in making a claim for Universal Credit.

You could lose financial support if you do not act when asked to make the claim.

Contact Maureen your Financial Inclusion Officer for advice or support.
