Last week we were really busy getting back into a routine after the holidays and working on being engineers. The children really enjoyed constructing dens for the Gruffalo and then later in the week we used various construction to build a structure or item of choice. We set about building a ship, a pirate ship with a large hold for lots of treasure. Whilst some children began building a bridge for the ship to pass under. Amongst the other items that were constructed were; a large school and playground, houses, driveway and garage, a nearby tower, supermarket, telephone, water park and skate park. The children really immersed themselves in projects of their choice and took on the role of being engineers really seriously and discussed their models when they were complete to explain characteristics about their designs.

We hope you enjoying looking at our buildings.
