We have been working hard in P7 across the curriculum.

For numeracy, we have refreshed our understanding of multiples and factors through interactive activities and games.

Reading and writing skills have been developed through our topic on World War 2 through a variety of activities such as:

  • personal research
  • creating a timeline of rationing poster

  • Writing a story about the journey of an evacuee.

As we have been learning about rationing during World War Two we even followed a recipe to make honey cakes. These contained only margarine, self-raising flour, cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of sugar and 2 teaspoons of honey. They were very dry and more like biscuits than cakes and some of us really liked them!
