December already! Things are becoming quite exciting for our Primary 1 children. We have been learning all about the Nativity story, and of course have had daily visits from our Elf. On Wednesday he climbed up onto our Xmas tree. On Thursday he ate some of our sweets and Mrs Cuthbertson’s snack!! On Friday he decided to go fishing in our sink.  We can’t wait to see what he does next week.

We have been so busy exploring measure, common words and phonics. We investigated ‘Ll’ and had fun making Lions. Our Lego table has been very busy and the children have had fun decorating our tuff tray Xmas trees. Our class story was ‘One Snowy Night’ with Percy the Park Keeper. We really enjoyed the story and have been making our own Snowy Night Display for our classroom.

Next week our phonic is ‘Ff’ and our common words are ‘it,for,on’. We will be learning all about Christmas traditions and will make our own decorations. We are really excited about the School Xmas Lunch on Wednesday.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Cuthbertson xxx
