P6: Week Beginning 01.11.21

It’s been another busy week! The focus again has been on climate change linked to the COP26 Conference in Glasgow.

This week we have been learning about saving energy, our carbon footptint and the problems of plastic waste.  We worked in trios to find information and share our learning with our peers.  It made us think about the small changes we can all make to reduce our waste by reusing and reducing as much as possible. We also took part in quality discussions about Climate Actions which gave us the opportunity to express our views and opinions.

Yesterday, we had great fun at Newmilns ski slope.  We learned how to change direction by using the snowplough technique.  The instructors set us a challenge to ski through the gap between two marker cones.  Some of us found it quite tricky, but we all gave it a go.

We were very excitied yesterday at our Disney Aladdin rehearsal as we found out which parts we would be playing.  We can’t wait to start learning our lines, songs, dance routines and stage directions…it’s going to be a whole new world!!
