Hello Primary 2b 🙂 ,
We have had a fantastic week getting settled into routines and doing lots of fantastic work! I have really enjoyed this week and I hope you enjoyed that too.
Every week I will put on a blog with some home learning tasks for you to complete.
This week we have been working very hard on our initial sounds, completing important assessments and finding one more and one less in numeracy. We have been partitioning numbers too and we were very good at this!
Phonics
We have been revising our initial sounds this week and we have really enjoyed looking at the Jolly Phonics songs. Go to this link and show an adult in your family the great actions and sounds we have been practising. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvAYUvQUrGo
Numeracy
Use items in your house or garden. Count them then add or remove one and have a big think about how many you would have now. Count them to check your answer. You can also go to this website to play the game we played in class. https://www.topmarks.co.uk/learning-to-count/helicopter-rescue
We clicked on 1-20 in class but feel free to try harder levels if you want.
Good luck and tell me how you get on in class next week,
Miss Baillie
