SPORTSCOTLAND AWARD

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the SportScotland Gold Award !

The Gold School Sport Award is recognition of a school’s achievements in putting sport at the heart of a school’s planning, practice and ethos.  The Gold Award also highlights that the school has shown excellent practice across the core areas of the Award and demonstrated an on-going commitment to increase young people’s opportunities and engagement in physical education, school sport and leadership and provide clear pathways to life-long participation in sport.

Thank you to Lynsey Murphy, our Active Schools Co-ordinator and to the volunteers who provide after school clubs and opportunities in the community!  We could not have achieved this without you!

Thank you to our school community and the Sports Committee for a great video and SWAY showing all the evidence of the fantastic work that we do.  Well done everyone! A brilliant achievement!

Well done to our school football team who reached the final of the  McWilliam’s cup! A great achievement.

Everyone had a fantastic time yesterday at Almond Valley. Many thanks to our Parent helpers who assisted on the trip.

Last week, our Bump up days went well. Our staffing is now confirmed.

Unfortunately we have a number of staff who will not be with us next session. We wish Mrs Barclay and Miss Baker well as they move on.

We have two members of staff retiring after long service at Hurlford. Mrs Ross, our clerical assistant has been at Hurlford for 16 years and Mrs Paton, our classroom assistant for over 22 years!! Who knew they were that old?! They will be a big loss to our school community, but we wish them well on their new adventures !!
