Daily Activities – Thursday 25th June

A wee physical activity to start the day!

Why not draw a giant, like the one in our story? What clothes would you put on him? What about the animals in the story? What clothes would you dress them in? What can YOU dress up as? Use your imagination and any resources you have at home.

We would like very much if you could email us your pictures and photos.

Have fun and stay safe 🌈

Daily Activities – Wednesday 24th June

We all know how important handwashing is. Enjoy some handwashing yoga!

Weekly STEM challenge!

You will need glasses and water. You can colour the water with food colouring or paint if you like but make sure that all glasses contain the same colour of water.  You will also need a wooden mallet or spoon.
Use the mallet or spoon to gently tap the vases and listen to the musical notes made.

To show children that sound is made by a vibration (in this case, a vibration of the water), try this additional sound vibration activity. Tie a piece of string to a metal spoon. Wrap the string around a child’s finger and have the child place their finger in their ear. Tap the spoon with another spoon as it is hanging (not touching anything else). The child may have to tilt their head a bit, so the string and spoon are not touching their body. Talk about how the vibration from your spoon tap traveled up the string to their ear.

Have fun and stay safe 🌈
