We have been spreading the kindness all week for Anti Bullying Week as part of their #OneKindWord theme. Today we became kindness messengers and delivered thank you letters to all the staff at Fenwick Primary, thanking them for all that they do for us. In our letters we wrote positive compliments along with a little sweet treat.
In addition we have also seen our own kindness as a class and friendships grow during the week, linking our acts of kindness grow to form a chain.
This week P3/4 have started learning about multiplication.
Our focus has been on understanding the strategies of grouping objects into equal groups and arrays and using the terminology to link our understanding of grouping with our knowledge of times tables.
Below we have used different objects to create equal groups and arrays.
This week P3/4 participated in their first active schools football training session with two professional football coaches.
As part of a 4 week block we will be learning and developing our football skills including dribbling, passing, ball control, teamwork and decision making in our journey to become better footballers.
This week P3/4 have been learning about Remembrance Day and it’s importance.
Each day we have learned a new piece of information about Remembrance Day and have used this knowledge to inspire us during our literacy activities.
Above the girls are using their spelling words to add colour the poppy.
Above we completed a reading comprehension activity in which we were challenged to find information within a text to help answer a set of questions related to Remembrance Day. As an early finisher we could challenge ourselves to follow a set of instructions on how to make a poppy using recycled materials.
This week in P3/4 we are continuing to develop our football skills with a focus on ball control, dribbling and controlled passing.
Below the pupils are learning to dribble the ball in and out of the cones with control and then once they arrive at the end of the cones they pass the ball back to the next player who will begin their dribbling.
