P3/4 Teamwork STEM Challenges

Today P3/4 were working together in teams to complete a variety of different challenges.

We understood that good teamwork requires:

  • Effective communication to listen to each other’s ideas and negotiate decisions
  • Supporting each other to achieve success
  • Sharing resources
  • Including everyone to take part in the activity

The first challenge was to build a tower of cups using string and a rubber band to position the cups correctly.

The second challenge was to create a marble run maze out of lolly pop sticks, tape and card.

P3/4 Sports Day

Thank you to all the volunteers and families who came to support the pupils during their sports day.

The pupils had a fantastic time and loved to see their families cheering them on and supporting them to do their best.

P3/4 should be very proud of themselves showing determination to do their best and supporting others by cheering them on.

P3/4 Sports Day Reminder 10.6.22

I would like to remind pupils that we are having our Sports Day tomorrow between 11:00 am  – 12 noon.

I would like to remind pupils to come in wearing their sports day/P.E. clothes and make sure they have suitable footwear for running in the field.

Families are more than welcome to attend and cheer the pupils.

P3/4 Health Week- Day 3

P3/4 had another busy fun filled day with many learning new skills and trying out new activities for the first time.

This morning we started off with an energetic dance session which encouraged our creativity and inspired pupils to express themselves through dance.

Between break and lunch we had great fun developing our coordination and reactions skills needed for rounders with our Active Schools Coordinator Lynsey.

In the afternoon P3/4 tried some Golf with Miss Jaffrey and learned some skills for putting and chipping.

Miss Jaffrey was very impressed by the techniques and skills pupil’s had. We have a few golfers in the making.

P3/4 HWB- Begin Every Day With A Smile

P3/4 have been experiencing some new routines as part of our morning start to get ourselves ready to learn.

From the moment P3/4 walk into the class they are welcomed with mindfulness relaxing music and some individual selective mindfulness tasks they can complete.

As a class we are focused improving our mindset so that we are eager and ready to learn. Some activities that have helped us achieve this are doing construction team work tasks and doing whole class massage.
