P3/4 have been working hard on creating a positive environment for learning. They have been learning all about positive affirmations and have been using these daily to help change their mindsets when things get challenging. They have also been trying hard to create positive relationships by showing a deeper understanding of different emotions and how to deal with them. They understand that all feelings are ok but sometimes the behaviour associated with that feeling is not.
Today P3/4 honoured World Book Day by reading to the P1s in the garden. They loved sharing some of their favourite stories and encouraging the P1s to read along with them.
P3/4 truly embraced their role as a leaders in our learning journey.
P3/4 enjoyed taking part in a music lesson with Miss Galloway on Friday. They used body percussion to learn about rhythm. You can see from the concentration on their faces that they loved this activity.
Over the past few weeks P3/4 have been learning all about poetry. They have used examples from famous poets like Robert Burns and have adapted their work to create their own poems. I’m sure you’ll agree from some of the examples that these are fantastic.
