Today we began our new learning in PE, tennis. We started off with familiarising ourselves with the ball and developing our hand-eye co-ordination.

P1 NSPCC – Pants Underwear Rule

P1 Phonemes
Today we were introduced to the letter C. We made cakes out of Playdoh and added candles to them. We also wrote words beginning with C with a carrot as a pencil.
P1 Good and Bad Smells
We have been learning about our Senses, today we spoke about good smells and bad smells. We also got to play Guess the Smell.
P1 Carroll Diagrams
Today we looked at Carroll Diagrams as a way to sort items into categories. We worked indoors and then took our learning outdoors.
P1 2D Shapes
We were learning to sort 2D shapes in different ways today e.g. by colour, by type and by number of sides.
We had fantastic examples of 2D shapes made out of playdough and discussion about the number of sides and corners.
