This morning, P2/3 took part in Yoga and had some time in the garden. After break, we did our daily mile on the field, practised for sports day, and danced to Just Dance. In the afternoon, we played playground games with P1/2 and had the chance to play with the KCFT football activity.
Today, P2/3 were very lucky to have Art Teaching students from UWS working with them. They took part in a ‘Making Touch Visible’ workshop. The children learned about Braille with puff paint projects, colour mixing fun and some chalk art outdoors.
Today, P2/3 completed their own Olympic Mascot and learned about the Olympic rings and what they represent. We had time in the garden, practised for sports day, and had a visit from PC McDonald.
This week (20-24th May) P2/3 will be taking part in Health Week.
Please wear your PE kit and trainers all week for participating in outdoor and indoor sport activities.
Please bring a painting apron or old tshirt/shirt to wear over your clothes on Tuesday 21st May as P2/3 will be taking part in an art activity with Art Students from UWS.
Friday 24th May is Sports Day – please wear something that is the colour of your house.
On Friday, P2/3 visited Hallhouse Care Home. We told the story of The Gruffalo and sang The Gruffalo song in Scots. The children did an amazing job so on the way back we stopped off at the park!
