Black History Month: Rosa Parks
Today P2/3 were learning about a brave figure in history – Rosa Parks. We read the ‘Little People, Big Dreams: Rosa Parks’ book.
The children were shocked while reading the book but were very engaged in discussing equality meaning behind her brave actions and how these led to a change in the rules. courage equality
We had a look at the Rosa Parks US Postage Stamp and designed our own Rosa Parks Stamp.

Reading Buddies
P5/6 were reading buddies for P2/3 and helped them to read their books that they borrowed from the mobile library.
Construction
P1/2 joined P2/3 this afternoon for some time together with the construction materials.
Mobile Library Visit
P2/3 were very excited to be visiting the mobile library today. We also made bookmarks to use with the books we borrowed.
Numeracy Open Afternoon
Thanks to everyone who came along to our Numeracy Open Afternoon. P2/3 had a great afternoon teaching parents/carers some of the Numeracy activities that do in class.

Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch
Yesterday in P2/3 we were creating our own lighthouse models. The children added cliffs, a string for Mr Grinling’s lunch basket to move along and lots of rocks. P2/3 loved getting to add their light as the final touch!
