Meet our Pupil Council!

Today our Pupil Council of 2021-2022 met for the first time out in the sun with Mr McIlwraith (Acting HT) and Donna Vivers (Parent Council Chair)! During the meeting, we introduced ourselves and were able to explain why we wanted to be part of the Pupil Council and the school decision-making process.
Our Pupil Council is made up of a representative from each stage across our ECC and school, alongside a Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary. The children will bring the views of their class to the meetings and then feedback to their classes on any decisions we have made. We will be meeting regularly to discuss areas of school improvement suggested by our young people.
Our representatives include;
ECC – Luke
P1 – Esme
P2 – Jessica
P3 – Lily
P4 – Harriet
P5 – Laird
P6 – Rory
P7 – Aaron & Ellie

This time we focused on our Easter celebrations which will take place next week! Our Pupil Council had lots of great suggestions and ideas which we will share with you very soon! It is going to be EGGciting…

Fenwick Fundraising

Raising money for school funds is always exciting.  This term our young people took part in a sponsored walk/run/welly waddle as well as a ‘soak the staff’ afternoon.  We are delighted to announce that we raised over £1000 – thank you again for your continued support.

We hope you enjoy the video!

P4/5 Community Walk to Hallhouse Care Home

Today Primary 4/5 went on their first weekly walk to Hallhouse care home. This was a great opportunity for some exercise and fresh air as well as recognising people in our community.

Pupils views:

I really enjoyed it a) because I haven’t done a big walk for a while and b) I’ve not been to Hallhouse before. I really liked seeing all the old people and seeing them all smile.

It was a very nice walk and I liked waving to all the residents and seeing what it’s like for them living in the care home.

It was nice seeing them wave and smile.

I really enjoyed it because I’ve not been to Hallhouse in a while but I also thought it was very good exercise.
