At Muirkirk Primary School and ECC, we pride ourselves on our nurturing approach which allows all pupils to feel comfortable and achieve their best.

Working closely with pupils and our school community, we refreshed our school values. We discuss these everyday and encourage all our pupils to show the following:

S – Successful

H – Happy

A – Achieving

R – Respectful

P – Positive

Pupils are awarded class points and house tokens when they demonstrate these values. Each week at assembly, children are awarded with a special certificate that indicates the value they have shown throughout the week. Once pupils achieve three of these, they are awarded a Bronze Award; six will mean a Silver Award; nine with mean a Gold Award and twelve across a school year will be awarded with the coveted Platinum! The success of our pupils is shared on our school app each week.

Staff model these values at all times and encourage our children to praise others who have shown these values.
