Training of Educational Psychologists

Educational Psychologists are required to have completed the MSc in Educational Psychology, currently taught in Scotland at Dundee University.

They can come from a wide variety of backgrounds, including teaching, youth work and research.

Following completion of the MSc in Educational Psychology, they must also complete the Qualification in Educational Psychology (Scotland) which is the second and final stage of their training.

Teaching takes place 2 days a week, with 2 days being spent in long-term placements with a Psychological Service.
