Councillor Stephanie Primrose presented the Working Together Award to the team at the East Ayrshire Excellence Awards Ceremony in November 2015.

“This team aims to improve the outcomes for children and young people. Working with partners within the Council, and with the NHS and foster carers; the team are closing the attainment and achievement gap. A key part of the service has been the evolution and implementation of nurture. The East Ayrshire Nurture Framework is a preventative and proactive approach to support children and young people who have, or are at risk of, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Over 500 employees have been trained in nurture principles”.
