In P6 we have been learning about how to use glow and how to send emails and how to blog, we are also learning how to use all the tabs on the launch pad!
We also have been learning about dance mat typing .It is a website that teaches you how to type without looking at the keyboard!
We have been learning how to make power points and how to animations to make quizzes!
We have also learned to be safe online and not to a bully online. We also learned not to post any private things or passwords. This taught a lot of people not to these things!
In ICT we have been learning to use the 3D printer and how to make 3D things .We even used the printer for our Christmas craft!
At school we have been learning about how we can read online with our new website called bug club. You can decorate your own house by earning money when you finish your book!
Our class has been learning about French and we were using Linguascope to learn dans ma trousse, de couleur, la meteo and les nombres which mean in my pencil case, the colours, the weather and numbers. In class we were doing birthdays, questions and games. Next we are going to learn families in French.We learned how to pronounce French words and how to introduce ourselves. Mostly we used Linguascope for French but sometimes the teacher taught what she knew . Our class also did activities like games, the weather wheel and a guessing game.This week we learned how to do a Christmas advent and how to say other things when Jesus was born in french.
In class for ICT we have been learning a bit about glow and how it works we have all been enjoying it and it’s a lot of fun we all can’t wait to learn more about it.
On glow you can speak to your friends and your teacher. You can also send homework on glow and we all have safe passwords to go on to do work in class.
Glow is also 100% safe unless you use it the wrong way. On glow your teachers can watch everything you do on glow and can track what you are sending.
We have been doing subtraction for a while now and we have learned some strategies in the time period that we have did
Subtraction. Some of these strategies we have learned are Upstairs Downstairs, Partitioning ,Number line Subtraction and halving and doubling.
Others things we have been learning is measuring in millimetres, Centimetres and meters We went outside to measure the length of objects and it was in meters and Centimetres . We learned a subtraction phrase for taking away the numbers and this is it
