Our Makaton Signs for parents

Morning everyone

Here is Hayley our communication champion showing you some key important Makaton signs that will be using in the ECC. This is to help improve communication for our non verbal children or children who require support with speech. However, we can use Makaton with all children and we firmly believe at Lainshaw ECC that your child learning Makaton is a life skill and will bring a great amount of benefits to them.

So let’s try these out and practice with your child at home.

Our 2-3 Ladybird Room Layout

Our two to three Ladybird room has had a wonderful makeover by our amazingly dedicated staff May, Natalie and Sarah. Think you will all agree how amazing this looks.

Have a lovely weekend everyone. We have absolutely loved welcoming all our new 2-3 friends this week and can’t wait to make more memories this year in the ladybird room.
Love Sarah, Natalie & May x

Lainshaw ECC Fit N Fun Day Celebrations 2021!

Morning all ECC,

We were gutted to not have you all attend our Lainshaw Fit N Fun day this year. However, your children have had the most amazing day which was concluded with frozen yoghurt, fruit salad and fresh orange juice.

Additionally every single child in the ECC was gifted a certificate of participation and a gold medal for efforts in sports day! Any of your children who won races came home with 1st, second and third stickers.

But regardless of who won…every single child was laughing, smiling and having good sported Lainshaw ECC team fun for their session! And that is all that matters to us at Lainshaw ECC!

Holidays in May

🔴Parent/Carer Information🔴

On Monday 3rd May 2021 the centre will be closed to ALL children as this is a public holiday.

On Thursday 6th May 2021 the centre will be closed again to ALL children as this is a in-service day set out by EAC.

The centre will be open on Tuesday 4th, Wednesday 5th and Friday 7th May as usual.

Sun cream Message

As the weather improves and the children are spending more time outdoors, we will be applying sunscreen at regular intervals throughout the session.

But can we request parents please ensure their child MUST HAVE applied sun cream on before coming to the ECC.

The sunscreen we will be applying in the ECC is ASDA PROTECT SPF50 & Nivea protect 50+ as this is suitable for sensitive skin and is 5* UVA. This offers the highest level of protection.

Drinking water is available at all times for children both indoors and outdoors.

If your child has a sun hat, please bring this to the ECC in their bag with a clearly marked name on the child’s hat

If any parent could pop in donations of these types of sun cream we would be eternally grateful. Also if you can confirm with staff if you DO NOT wish your child to have sun cream applied.
