Well done to Gab who has been getting creative and has made a baby Yoda out of things he found outside.  Looks fantastic Gab! 🙂

After reading their group readers last week, each group was challenged to redesign the front cover of their specific book.  They had to use their understanding of the book they read and the reading strategy ‘Visualisation’ to help them do this.  Some of the designs are shown below.

As it is National Digital Literacy Week, Miss Hunter gave us some optional activities to do based on the Binary Code.  However, Nina and her little sister Elodie, have been working on something very special with their dad, which fits perfectly into this week’s celebrations of Digital Literacy.  They have made a short video to thank all the key workers for doing such an amazing job.  They have done an amazing job themselves in creating this video…well done girls! 🙂

This week we have moved on to looking at Data Handling within Maths, with a particular focus just now on bar graphs.  After drawing graphs for information they were given, the class were challenged to draw a graph of their own to provide information about something of their choice from home.

A great example of someone having a Growth Mindset.  If at first you don’t succeed, try again!  Well done Katie for keeping going with this number task today and eventually finding a solution.  What a star 🙂

We were focusing on the reading strategy of summarising for the section of our texts that we were reading today.  As you can see, some groups were asked to turn the main points of their text into a comic strip and other groups were asked to put them into a flow chart.

A little revision of work carried out in Term 3 to help with what we were moving on to.  We were reminding ourselves of the properties of different types of triangles so that we could use this to help us calculate the size of a missing angle in any triangle.

A new activity for P5 to try out focusing on their phoneme for this week.  They had to create word shapes for some of the words on our phoneme grid and then get someone at home to work out what words they had created shapes for.  Can you work out what our focus sound was?
