Today is Robert Burn’s birthday. He was a very famous poet from Alloway, Ayrshire who died a very long time ago in 1796 when he was 37 years old. Today we are celebrating his 262nd birthday. What a huge number that is.
Here are some ideas on activities you could do to celebrate.
- Draw a colourful birthday cake. How many candles can you fit on it?
- Decorate some shortbread with icing pens to represent Rabbies kilt

Paint a kilt. In nursery we would use toy cars dipped in the paint and rolled over the paper to create the striped pattern

Make a Loch Ness monster. You could do a puppet style like in the picture or find other materials and get creative

Learn an interesting fact about robert burns to post in your journal
