Each child played a part as either a newsreader, news reporter, farmer or chef.
Well done P5!
Bumper Harvest Donations!
P5 and the RRSA pupil committee are delighted with the amount of donations staff and pupils brought today for our Harvest table.
All donations have been taken to the Ayrshire East Foodbank, Bedford Mill, Kilmarnock.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated items this year.

- Global Goals – track your family food wastage each day and discuss possible ways this could be reduced in your household. Write your top three steps to reduce food wastage in your homework jotter.
Ready Steady Cook!
P5 were busy in our GP room today making traditional Scottish shortbread. We have been learning about traditional Scottish dishes during our farming topic and today we recreated this popular biscuit.
Having made sure our workspace was hygienic – tables cleaned and hands washed – we set to task mixing our ingredients by following the recipe and method.
It was a thumbs up all round as the shortbread tasted as good as it smelled!
Active Spelling
As part of our Active Literacy programme, we were using active spelling activities today. We revised our ae phoneme and it’s different representations and our tricky words.
