Weekly Roundup

Literacy

In literacy this week, the pupils investigated working conditions for people who make our clothes in developing countries. They then used this research to write a detailed news report on a real-life incident in which a garment factory, in Bangladesh, collapsed due to poor safety regulations. The pupils also reviewed some lovely picture books that had been donated to the school. Following this, the pupils then decided which books could be added to our class library.

Maths

In maths this week, the pupils in P5/6 have been learning to identify the order of operations. Through this, the pupils have challenged themselves to complete complex calculations which include brackets, order, multiplication & division, and addition & subtraction.

Other Curricular Areas

The pupils have learned a new note when playing their classical instrument this week whilst continuing to develop their skills in strings.

Also, here are some photos of our pupils warming up for our chess championship!
