It’s Friday!

This week primary 4 have had another busy week full of new learning.

We have been developing our football skills such as dribbling and passing and have really enjoyed playing some mini games in P.E.

We also got the chance to get creative using pointillism to paint whilst we learned about Georges Seurat as our ‘Artist of The Week’.

This week we also had our final visit from Occupational Therapist Janie Richie who has been visiting our class to talk about Mental Health & well-being. We have had some fab discussions about our feelings, coping strategies and have really enjoyed the sessions!

Check out some pictures from this week & don’t forget to have a look at the ‘Stars of The Day’ this week.

Homework

National Numeracy Homework

You will find this week’s challenge inside your P4’s scrapbook if it has been returned or inside a poly pocket.

It was great to see the completed challenges from last week , have a look at some examples below!

A wee reminder that this homework is due by Friday 12th November. It would be great to see some comments about how your child got on with the challenge.

What did you enjoy? Did you find anything a challenge? How did you feel about completing the challenge with your family?

Spelling

If your child has learned the majority of the words on their grid, this will be updated and sent home this week. Please keep an eye out for these.

Thanks again for your continued support, it is very much appreciated.

Bonfire night 🔥

We have made it to the end of another VERY busy week in Primary 4.

Today we learned all about bonfire night, the story of Guy Fawkes & most importantly how to keep ourselves and others safe as we  enjoy fireworks night.

P4 have also been learning lots about COP26 that is taking place in Glasgow. We managed to indentify  some famous buildings in Glasgow  & then decided to get creative and make some beautiful firework artwork inspired by the Glasgow skyline.

check out our work ☺️

We have had a spooklacular day today! 🎃

We celebrated Halloween in school today and took part in lots of activities.

We even enjoyed a kids Halloween film on Netflix & spent the afternoon having a Halloween party in class.

We played spooky corners, pass the black cat & musical statues. We also enjoyed a snack and lots of dancing!

Lights, camera, action 🎥 🍿

Primary 4 had a brilliant time this week. We participated in making a film all about our School Street & all of the benefits it brings for staff, pupils, parents and the environment.

We really enjoyed the experience and it turns out we have a few budding stars in our class.  (no autographs please 😉)

Check out some behind the scenes snaps.

Go purple day ☂️🔮💜💟🍇

P4 had a great day celebrating ‘Go Purple Day!’ to support the Ayrshire Hospice.

We had fun taking part in a teddy bear hunt, class challenges and made a beautiful card for the hospice.

We also enjoyed a movie in class today after a wonderful term 1 full of hard work and lots of learning!

P4 really are a bunch of superstars.   🌟🌟🌟

Thanks again for all of your support at home, it really is appreciated,

Everything ‘Whale’ be ok! 🐳🐬🐋🐠🦀🐢

P4 have been doing our bit for the planet this week by making our own reusable bags out of old t-shirts.

We have been learning lots about plastic pollution and protecting our planet and the animals that live here. We figured out that as a class we could save over 1200 bags ending up in our oceans in a year by using our eco friendly bags! 🌍

Check out the progress of our bags so far!  🐋💕🌍✌️

(We will update this post with more pictures as the rest of our bags are finished)
