What a busy first full week of term we have had in Primary 2!
This term we will be learning about Scotland. This week we have been talking about what we know about Scotland and what we would like to find out. We have been singing Scottish songs, reading stories, talking about Scottish words and worked together to create a Saltire flag for our topic display.
Next week pupils will be issued with the Scots poem they will be learning as part of our Scotland topic. The Primary 2 poem is Twa-Leggit Mice by J.K. Annand.
We have also been working on estimation and counting in maths and writing super sentences in literacy.
On Tuesday we joined up with Primary 1 to go for a walk around the village. It was so nice to go for a walk together.
We also enjoyed a lovely walk along the River Ayr this afternoon.
Here are our ‘Star of the Day’ awards for this week, well done everyone!
I still have a few book bags missing, so if you have one at home can you please return it on Monday so that new reading books and Scots poems can be issued. Thanks for your support.
Have a great weekend!
