Hi everyone, for those who don’t know me yet my name is Rena.

I am the UNCRC champion, and every month we learn about a new article concerning the children’s rights.

This month, we are working on Article 7 which relates to the right to a name – as each child is unique they have the right to be treated as such. Parental involvement is always welcome and very important as it helps them understand the rights along with their child.

If I could ask you to discuss with your child why you chose their name – were they called after someone close?

Or was it perhaps just a name you liked?
