This week we have had lots of fun in the garden and exploring risky play, we made our own balance beam and see saw. This encourages children to risk assess and make safe choices during play.
Concept cat came back to visit us last week we learned about friends and this week we learned all about new. The children demonstrated a good understanding of these concepts and engaged well in the activities.
We are working on improving our garden area to provide opportunities for the children to explore music, role play, literacy and numeracy in our garden. Keep a look out for some exciting photos.
This week children welcomed back bookbug visitor today. All the children participated well singing familiar nursery rhymes and developing their listening skills when being red “my big shouting day”. Nursery rhymes are important for children because it helps to develop an ear for language, the rhymes and rhythm help children hear the sounds and syllables in the words.
The children were eager to explore our colour mixing table where we used food colouring to make new colours by investigating how they changed on kitchen roll.
