Enhancing learning and teaching through the use of digital technologies is a key focus of the Scottish Government. In the National Strategy, published in 2016, a number of key aims are highlighted:

• developing the skills and confidence of educators
• improving access to digital technology for all
• ensuring digital technologies are embedded in all areas of the curriculum
• strengthening parental engagement
