Every Wednesday our Senior Management Team lead two assemblies.
Primary 4 – 7 assembly is 11.05 – 11.40am
Primary 1 – 3 assembly is 11.45am – 12.20pm
Every week we revisit our school values and consistency of behaviours, and highlight good examples of their use by pupils. These are:
Values – Kindness, Achievement and Respect
Showing Good Manners
Fantastic Walking
Acts of Kindness
Each week we would like to update you all on what we have been up to, please check this page to find out more.
Wednesday 15th November
At both assemblies we explored Anti-Bullying.
Primary 4-7 explored discrimination and the impact of Banter towards others. Miss McGougan, Miss O’Neill and Mrs Johnstone carried out a very convincing role play around how banter can cause someone to feel upset. This was resolved through the use of restorative conversations.
Primary 1-3 explored the impact of name calling and verbal bullying. We explored this through using a plain piece of paper and pretending this was our heart. We called it names, then crumpled up the paper (Our Heart). We then discussed, that saying sorry isn’t always enough and our hearts take a while to mend. This was represented by trying to take take the crumples out of the paper.
Primary 5 joined both assemblies with a song they had learned about Bullying. P5 Song
