To learn more about carnivore, herbivore and omnivore dinosaurs, P2 had to investigate poo samples. They had to find out what was inside and decide what kind of dinosaur it came from. We recorded our findings on our observation sheets. The children had lots of fun although did question many times if it was real or not.
Dinosaur Topic
P2 have absolutely loved learning about our dinosaur topic. We have learned about Mary Anning and enjoyed becoming palaeontologists while digging and hunting for fossils in our tuff tray. P2 also had the opportunity to make their own salt dough fossils. Have a look at our pictures to see what else we have been up to.

We have also used our tens and units to partition numbers. The class have been busy with all the fun activities. Have a look at all our hard work!
Term 1 Overview
Settling into P2
The boys in girls have settled well into our class routines and have been making new friends. During the first week of school, we read the book First Day Jitters. The children got to have a little drink and we talked about the big feelings and how it can be a little scary moving into a new classroom with new teachers and friends.
Bug Club
All children have been issued with their bug club login- this is in front of their homework jotters.
Our school code is 769r
Phonemes
We have been learning how to do all our phoneme work in P2. We used flip charts, boards and alphabet letters.
So far we have covered sh, ch, th and ng
