After having Tom Lightbody in our class we were then tasked with re creating his artwork. We used paint for the background and oil pastels for the lady.
Here are a few photos of us doing the art.

Digital Learning- Computing Science

This week we were introduced to the world of robotics! This started off with us all knowing that the special word is programming when we ask a robot to to do something.
We were exploring beebots and some of us got to experience a Dash robot.
Next week we will try to programme our beebots to do certain instructions. With Dash we will explore its features.

Health – Dentist Visit

Zack’s mum came in to tell the class what they can do to look after their teeth. Her job is a dentist and we enjoyed asking her lots of questions about her job and learning about everything she does to help people stay healthy. This is part of our Health about keeping ourselves healthy and knowing the importance of good hygiene routines.

What is our Superpower?

We looked at all the skills and qualities we have. We recognised that EVERYONE has something special that they are good at or excel at. We had lots of chat about what we thought we would be able to share with others.
Some said they were good at swimming or gymnastics or reading or numbers or being kind.

We have these displayed in our class if you ever need our superpower for anything!

Lady on the Wall Mural

Today we went a walk to see the Lady on the Wall mural on the side of the building on St Marnick’s Square. It was design and created by Tom Lightbody. He was chosen from many different people to create his image on the building.

It tells the story of Lady Ann Livingstone Boyd who lived in St Marnock’s house (now the car park) When her husband died she would take long walks in the gardens. This is her image.
