As part of our ‘Katie Morag’ topic we planned a route around the school using Google Maps. We then looked out for things that you would find on the mainland vs an island. We were surprised to find a boat on our travels!

We continued our Health and Wellbeing topic by preparing a jam sandwich. We spoke about how to do it and completed a sequencing activity before making it ourselves. We learned how to spread and cut into quarters!

As part of Health and Wellbeing we explored food preparation techniques such as slicing, peeling and chopping. We followed all of the food hygiene guidelines. We had lots of fun!

Our topic this term is Marvellous Me. We have been learning all about each other and talking about things we like and dislike. We have enjoyed looking at ourselves in mirrors and drawing self portraits as well as making mirrors. This is all part of STEM and we have a Science Centre visit planned for December to support our learning!

P1/2 went a walk along to the library to explore some new books. We will be lending books from the library soon!

Today (2nd September) we were learning about coding with Mrs Haggerty. We got to use Beebots and give them instructions. This is a code.
The buttons are very important as they give the Beebot the message/code on where to go.
