We were immensely proud of our children and young people who were celebrating all of their hard work, effort, progress and positive attitudes today.
Primary Ones looked so grown up and confident receiving their certificates and books. All of the pupils, from all of the classes, receiving Certificates of Achievement displayed the school values very well, as did our whole pupil body as they sang and contributed to the ceremony this morning. Primary 7 and their performance blew everyone away and we are so proud of them as they move on in their education journey.
Many sincere thanks go to Mrs Morton, Mr Hewitson, Mr Deas, Mrs Foster, Mr Banks and our very own Mrs Campbell who handed out prizes, certificates, special awards and ties. You were an integral part of the ceremony and our celebrations.
Thank you to all of the helpers who walked with the children to and from the church. We cannot do without your stalwart help.
Finally thank you to all of the parents and carers who attended today and helped us celebrate the pupils of Galston Primary.
What a fantastic afternoon! Well done to Struan our King and Savannah who was an attendant. Thank you to all the helpers who helped to put the flags and decorations on the float and to all of the children who produced the artwork. Lots of hard work from the parent council who brought everything together for the float. Thank you everyone! With this year’s theme being the Euros let’s hope it bring our national team luck!
Having had to postpone sports day due to weather last we were more than ready to have it today! Thank you to everyone who came along to support us and cheer us on. The parents were also fabulous during the parent novelty race. Photographs will be published next week.
In the run up to the Galston Gala Day on June the 8th the pupils took part in the Development Trust competition. The Trustees had a difficult time judging the entries as they found the posters to be excellent.
The Overall Winner – Myka P7
Runners Up Primary 1 to 4 – Elissa, Cade, Orla, Frankie
Runners up Primary 5 to 7 – Kaila, Bonnie
Well done everyone who participated.
Thank you to the Galston Community Development Trustees for the prizes and sweets handed in for the winners, runners up and best in class. They were gratefully received and appreciated by the pupils.
Due to the considerable rain and the puddles on the running track Sports Day has been postponed. The next date that had been provisionally booked is the 31st May. Again, this is weather dependant.
