Santa’s Grotto
Christmas Fayre Update
Dear Parent/ Carer
We are excited to announce that this year’s Galston Primary School Christmas Fayre will take place on Thursday 27th November from 3-5pm. The fayre will take place within the school, and we plan to have a range of stalls, games and activities.
We are looking for stallholders. Stalls are priced at £20 plus a small donation for our raffle and can be reserved by emailing
lauren.mcewen@eastayrshire.org.uk.
Santa will be making a special appearance at our Christmas fayre. Our Grotto will be available for booking, prior to the fayre, on ParentPay. The school will then allocate a time slot between 3 and 5pm to avoid long queues. More information will be provided nearer the time.
We will also be looking for donations of home baking. This can be handed into the school office on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th November.
Thank you for your continued support
Parent COuncil Halloween Discos
Thank you very much to all the parent helpers and the Parent Council who organised two fantastic and very well attended discos last Thursday. All of the efforts were very much appreciated and the Children had a fabulous time. Thank you to Take a Bow who provided the music. A brilliant time was had by all!

Halloween Dress Down/Dress Up
This month dress down day is on Friday 31st October. To support our Christmas Fayre preparations we are taking donations of chocolate or bottles.
The children are welcome to dress down in casual clothes or dress up in Halloween costumes. We advise that any items – pirate cutlasses, light sabers etc. be left at home so that costumes are not spoiled for guising, should they leave them behind at school.
Thank you very much for your continuing support.

Celebrating Pupil Achievements – Can You Help
At our weekly assembly we celebrate the children’s achievements. Many children bring in medals and trophies they have earned at team sports and other out of school activities. Many are heavy to bring in or fragile and we want to keep them safe. In addition many children cannot bring in something but we try to recognise their achievements also. Therefore we are asking parents and carers if they could help us with this.
If your child has an achievement they would like to share could parents please email this directly to Mrs. Milne – email address: ( amanda.milne@eastayrshire.org.uk ) or to the school email by Thursday 3p.m. for inclusion in the Friday assembly. Photos and a small description of the achievement would be much appreciated. If your child is in a sports team with other pupils from the school, a team photo could be sent so that everyone could be included as long as permission is given by all parents.
Thank you for your help with this.
